Enrollment

Ninth Street Day Nusery, Inc., is open year round. We provide for children ages 2 years, 9 months – 6 years old. We offer full time and part time enrollment. Part time hours are 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Parents who are interested in enrolling their child(ren) at The Ninth Street Day Nursery must first call to set up an appointment to meet with the Executive Director.  The child(ren) should also take part in the initial meeting.  The school’s daily program is explained and a tour of the school is provided.  Teachers will be introduced during the tour. Parents are welcome to ask questions.

Philosophy

It is the philosophy of the Ninth Street Day Nursery, Inc. to provide for the development of the whole child - educationally, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Ninth Street Day Nursery, Inc. is a small, inviting place – cozy and comfortable.  Classrooms do not exceed 8 children, so all are assured a great amount of individual attention.  With such a small teacher/child ratio, the teachers are aware of the developmental levels of all the children in their care and provide for them accordingly.  We all come to know each other exceptionally well and the feeling is one of familiarity and concern.  Everyone feels part of a large family and at home.  Parents, teachers and children respect one another and are constantly in communication regarding progress and/or problems.

Ninth Street Day Nursery, Inc. strives to provide an environment where each child progresses at his/her own learning rate in a safe and nurturing atmosphere staffed by caring and professional early childhood educators.
